The EuroLeague judge responsible for the appeals took into account Zalgiris' presented arguments and partially upheld the appeal by reducing the fine from 9.000 to 3.000 euros.

Zalgiris received the fine, which was given from the resolution of the independent judge, for the fans' chants throughout the game because of contradicting the 29.2 article.

The Lithuanian powerhouse was also blamed for provoking the fans, although, unlike Crvena Zvezda players, Zalgiris members were holding the 'Stop the War' banner before the game.

Zalgiris didn't deny the fact of the chants but appealed the reasons why some of the incidents occurred. Moreover, the Lithuanian club presented many arguments as to why Ukraine, suffering from the war caused by Russia, should be supported and the war itself condemned.

The EuroLeague judge agreed that the 'Stop the War' banner was a sign of support for Ukraine, and its purpose wasn't to provoke the fans. Crvena Zvezda were the only visiting team that refused to hold this banner.

After EuroLeague announced the initial fine for Zalgiris, fan group Green White Boys showed support for the club and in one week raised 6.607 euros, which were transferred into the Zalgiris account.

Since the fine was reduced to 3.000 euros, Zalgiris will donate the rest of the money to a non-government organization Blue/Yellow, which has been supporting Ukraine's armed resistance since 2014 by providing Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers with non-lethal supplies to help them battle Russian aggression.
