The 26-year-old shooting guard previously played in the 2016 Olympic Qualifiers and the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers.
Dorsey was also nominated for Greece's training camp for FIBA EuroBasket 2017 but backed out because of an ankle injury and then prepared for his rookie season in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
The Los Angeles native is very proud of his Greek heritage.
"I have always been very into the Greek culture. At home, with my family and it has always been very present in my life. The Greek influence has been very strong and part of me. I decided to play for Greece and I got a passport very fast," Dorsey told the FIBA website, after averaging 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.9 assists at the U19 World Cup, thus entering the All-Star Five.
Greece is expected to line up with all its stars in EuroBasket 2022, as Giannis Antetokounmpo is willing to play in the upcoming major international event as well. The new head coach Dimitris Itoudis will navigate the team.
Dinos Mitoglou is the only player, whose case has not been clarified yet.
Greece will play in Group C, where they will face Estonia, Ukraine, Great Britain, Italy, and Croatia in EuroBasket 2022.
