Though, a Seattle native admitted that he isn't into Oklahoma City Thunder, which hold the second pick in their pocket.

The Thunder controversially relocated to Oklahoma City from Seattle in 2008, turning away many Sonics fans, including the Italian-American prospect.

"I grew up with the [Seattle Super] Sonics a little bit. I was like six, I think, when they left, so I never liked the Thunder," Banchero revealed.

During the 2022 NCAA tournament, Banchero performed well. As a freshman, he averaged 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game (38 duels).

Gonzaga center Chet Holmgren, Auburn forward Jabari Smith, and Duke forward Paolo Banchero are considered the top three prospects available, without a clear front-runner for No. 1.
