"I'm doing a great job with Anadolu Efes, but I have to say once again that the best coaches in the EuroLeague are Ettore Messina and Zeljko Obradovic. Recently, I've won more, but they remain the best," Ataman spoke.
The 56-year-old also previewed the potential Italian League final between two powerhouses, Virtus Segafredo Bologna and AX Armani Exchange Milan.
"It would be a very balanced match but, I believe that Milan would have more chances to win. Mentally, they were ready for the Final Four, and now they're angry, while last season, they were a little bit tired after reaching the Final Four. They have the right mindset. I believe they have 60% chances of winning the league."
Last but not least, Ergin Ataman expanded about Virtus, who will return to the EuroLeague as the EuroCup champions.
"I'm happy to see Bologna again in the EuroLeague. I know they have a great organization and a businessman as president, so they'll build a great team.
They're already a EuroLeague team. When you have players like Teodosic, Belinelli, and Shengelia, you're a first-class squad. Moreover, they also have a great coach Sergio Scariolo. They'll be one of the best teams in Europe," Ataman concluded.
