Former AEK Athens and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir forward Jawad Williams has decided to call it quits. After an international career spanning 11 years and 13 teams, the American player has decided to retire from basketball.

Later on, he moved to France, where he played for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92.
A stage in France was followed by a two-year visit to Turkey, where the forward was a part of the Pinar Karisyaka and Gaziantep teams. After averaging 12.4 and 5.1 rebounds in the 2015-2016 season, Williams moved to Greece to play for AEK Athens.
One year in Greece and one year in Italy were followed by spending the final years of his career in Japan.
"After 17 years, I have decided to retire from playing the game that I love so much. It is truly a Blessing and an honor to be able to walk away from the game on my own terms," Williams wrote on Twitter.
