The legendary league commissioner David Stern has also contributed to his path in the National Basketball Association. The ninth episode of the Basketball House documentary, which you can see on the new generation of Go3 television, focuses on Karnisovas and other Lithuanian basketball personalities who have studied at United States universities. At the end of his career as a basketball player, Karnisovas got a job at a financial company in Manhattan. Still, his thoughts always revolved around basketball, where he climbed to one of the most prestigious positions in the NBA in just several years. Karnisovas now is the president of basketball operations for the Chicago Bulls."During the 2002 World Cup, Arturas told me he enjoyed working in a financial company but would like to return to basketball," said Kim Bohuny, vice president of international basketball operations at the NBA. "We hired him, he did a great job for five years, but during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he said he had received an offer from the Houston Rockets."
"I, David Stern, and the NBA didn't want to lose him, but we understood it. He wanted to start his way to where he is now," Bohuny added."I've been rocking Bulls jerseys since I was a student, and I've been a fan of them since then," Karnisovas has told House of Basketball. "The vision is to win the title. I realized last year that this historic club deserves a better team. The current situation is not enough, and we need to create something better."
