Following a successful regular season in Liga Endesa, FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius has received an accolade for his work.

The Spanish Basketball Coaches Association (AEEB) has voted Jasikevicius as the best coach of the 2021-22 ACB Regular season.

Saras has led Barca to a record of 27 wins and only 7 losses in the Spanish ACB league, solidifying the team 1st place in the standings. Jasikevicius was also voted coach of the month twice during this season in the months of September and October.

The AEEB collects votes throughout the entirety of the regular season. Each day of competition a score is assigned according to whether the victories have occurred at home or away, the difference in points obtained, and the classification of the opponent team at that time.

The coach who accumulates the most points in all the days of competition is the winner of the prize for Best Coach of the regular phase.

Barcelona will play their first league semifinal match today against Joventut Badalona at home in Palau Blaugrana at 21:00 CEST.
