Draymond Green on Game 1 loss: 'We dominated for 41-42 minutes, we'll be fine' / News - Basketnews.com
The Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green doesn't think that the Boston Celtics are capable of repeating their success of the fourth-quarter Game 1 in the 2022 NBA Finals.

Green was confident it would not happen again: "I think they stayed within striking distance, and they made shots late."
Green added that the focus should be on taking those 3-pointers away: "We'll figure out the ways we can stop them from getting those threes and take them away."
"I don't think it was a rhythm thing. We pretty much dominated the game for the first 41-42 minutes. So we'll be fine," Green continued.
Green also mentioned the number of 3-pointers made by the unusual suspects on the Celtics, singling out Marcus Smart, Derrick White, and Al Horford.
"They hit 21 threes, and Marcus Smart and Al Horford and Derrick White combined for 15 of them," Green continued. "The guys are good shooters, but they combined for, what, 15-for-23 from those guys, eh, you know, so, we'll be fine."
While the Celtics had a great shooting night, Green himself struggled from the field, hitting just 2-of-12. The star forward did not lose his confidence, however.
"I missed some bunnies," Green said. "My threes felt good. You know, I'll continue to stay aggressive. They will fall. You know, tonight, they didn't."
With this loss at home, the Warriors have lost their home-court advantage in the series as well.
Green understands they will have to win on the road now: "Whether you win every game at home, you still want to win one on the road," and remained confident they can do that. And [knowing] our history, we've always won one on the road," Green added.
Green thinks there is nothing to panic about: "So, you know, it's just nothing to panic about. It's the first team to win four games, not the first to win one. So I think that's where the confidence comes from, just understand that."
Draymond's teammate Klay Thompson had the same thoughts and agreed with him: "It's first to four, not first to one."
Green, Thompson, and the Golden State Warriors will have their chance to tie the series vs the Boston Celtics on Sunday in San Francisco.
