Led by Doncic, Slovenia became the champions of Europe back in 2017, beating Serbia in the final. Director and screenwriter Goran Vojnovic created a movie about the magic run in the tournament, and Luka was in attendance for the first viewing of the film.

Eight members of the golden team were present in the arena in Stozice, where the film was watched by almost 9,000 spectators on a large 21x11-meter screen on Friday. Goran Dragic was also spotted sitting beside Doncic. Dragic became the MVP of EuroBasket 2017 while Doncic was voted to the First Team of the tournament.

In addition, Vlatko Cancar, Gasper Vidmar, Ziga Dimec, Matic Rebec, Aleksej Nikolic, and Sasa Zagorac also watched the film in the first row. Klemen Prepelic and Anthony Randolph stayed in Spain, while Edo Muric and Jaka Blazic have gone on a short vacation in preparation for the upcoming FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and did not attend the event.

The 113-minute film showcases the Slovenian national team from the first preparatory matches to the glorious victory and the lifting of the cup. The stories and behind the scenes of the European Championship, which united all of Slovenia in 2017, are presented to the audience by the golden Slovenian basketball players, the then-coach Igor Kokoskov, members of the coaching staff, and others who witnessed the journey.

Goran Dragic has recently announced his plans to make a comeback to the national team for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. The 36-year-old guard will play against Croatia on June 30th, which is set to be Dragic's last dance in the NT. As SportKlub reports, the player is not willing to compete in the upcoming EuroBasket 2022.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic has confirmed he's coming to EuroBasket 2022. "I always say - if I'm not injured or anything, I'm going to play for the national team," Luka assured the fans.
