Jeremy Lin stood by the fact that Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry has not been named MVP of the NBA finals.

Despite a tremendous start by Curry in Game 1, with 21 points in the first quarter, and trailing by fifteen points in the third, the Boston Celtics reacted with a magnificent final quarter, winning it 40-16 and stole home court advantage from the Warriors.

The possible loss to Boston Celtics in the Finals would leave Stephen Curry without any MVP awards in the sixth consecutive final he appeared.

Warriors won 3 championships during that stint, meanwhile, Andre Iguodala got his MVP in 2015, while Kevin Durant was honored in 2017 and 2018.

The fact that Curry's collection lacks this award, Jeremy Lin expressed his own opinion.

"I hope Steph Curry wins the championship and the MVP of the finals this season. But he does not need to take the MVP of the finals to confirm his illustrious career, he does not have to prove anything. Nevertheless, we are talking about the best shooter in NBA history."

Game 2 of the NBA Finals will take place Sunday night in San Francisco where the Warriors will attempt to level the series against the Celtics.
