While talking to the Spanish daily newspaper, the 26-year-old revealed that his main target is to stay in the NBA.

"I want to continue in the NBA. I don't see myself returning to Europe yet," Hernangomez said.

"It's not a disrespect to the ACB or the EuroLeague. It's very much the opposite, I don't see it as a step back in my career. But when they talk about Madrid, Barcelona, and CSKA… I don't care. I'm not a supporter of any basketball team. I have spoken to nobody or signed any offer," he further expanded.

As it was reported earlier, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid were in the race for Juancho Hernangomez.

In the 2021-22 season, the Spanish forward got into a trades carousel. First, he got traded from the Boston Celtics to the San Antonio Spurs, then moved to the Utah Jazz.

Between the three teams, he has played 40 games this season, averaging 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds over 11.1 minutes of playing time.

Recently, Hernangomez confirmed his availability in EuroBasket 2022.
