Despite numerous reports about the sides coming to an agreement, former Zalgiris Kaunas center Josh Nebo is not expected to join the EuroLeague champions, according to BasketNews sources.

Instead, the club is close to signing a one-year contract extension with Bryant Dunston, a Turkish media outlet Sports Digitale reports. BasketNews sources have confirmed the information.

Dunston has been the captain of the team for the past several years and is considered to be one of the crucial parts of Anadolu Efes's defense. The center averaged 7.1 points and 3.2 rebounds for 10 PIR during the 2021-2022 EuroLeague season for the tournament's champions.

Following the team head coach Ergin Ataman's claim that signing Filip Petrusev was a mistake, the club has been actively looking to bolster its frontcourt throughout the offseason.

The team is reportedly close to signing Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv big man Ante Zizic.

Despite winning the EuroLeague, Anadolu Efes had their troubles in the Turkish Basketball League, beating Galatasary 3-2 in a grueling semifinal battle. The club will face Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the final.
