Maxwell was sure that Green would have been knocked out if he played during his era.
"I see Draymond behind me, but don't act like if he had been in the 80s, he wouldn't have been knocked out," said Maxwell.
Maxwell revealed that he was insulted by some of Green's comments.
"Let me tell you the part that insulted me. Draymond said, 'if you get thrown out of the game, you gotta pay only 2 dollars'. Well, you know what, that's an insult to anybody who played with me at that particular time," Maxwell explained.
Maxwell then continued by saying that today's players are making this much money because previous era players made it possible for the current players.
"We stood on the shoulders of Giants. The reason he's making 30 million he got on my shoulders and someone else's shoulders. Don't be disrespectful," said the former Finals MVP.
"Kevin Garnett said, respect these years. And I'll say this, there's only been 32 Finals MVPs, and damn, I am one of them," Maxwell concluded.
