In contrast to their main rivals, Partizan NIS Belgrade, who announced that they are withdrawing from the Serbian League playoffs as a form of protest against hooliganism and violence, Crvena Zvezda are getting ready for the season's final stretch.

The squad coached by Dejan Radonjic will play its first game of the semifinals against the Mega Basket on Friday and entrance will be free of charge, since the club decided to take the occasion to celebrate the ABA League title in a full house. The Serbian team will have the chance to claim its third trophy in the 2021-22 campaign, after the Serbian Cup and the Adriatic League.

However, from this point onwards, Zvezda will not be counting on Nate Wolters, who left Belgrade for the USA due to urgent family obligations with the club's permission and agreement.

The 31-year-old point guard joined Red Star for a second stint last August and is now set to become a free agent. The South Dakota State product put up 10.9 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game over 31 appearances in his fourth EuroLeague campaign. His 8.4 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per ABA League contest provided a huge boost to Crvena Zvezda being crowned champion for the sixth time.

According to the schedule of the Serbian League playoffs, the second game of the semifinals will be played on Sunday at 12:00 CEST, and the eventual Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday (June 14) in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.
