Fenerbahce has not won the trophy since 2018 but finally managed to end Efes' dominance.

When Djordjevic was asked about what they talked about on stopping Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic, the coach emphasized discipline, team effort, and game plan.

"We just continued to believe in our game plan. The guys were unbelievable. We didn't let them shoot that much open. It was a difference in the discipline that came up in this game," said Djordjevic.

Djordjevic was also happy with players' efforts individually.

Players came up trying. Jan Vesely, Nando [De Colo], and [Marko] Guduric played very, very mature. Book was unbelievable, and everybody. Melih was really great today, he played as a captain," said Djordjevic. "I mean, I am so proud of the guys. We had a really nice night tonight," Djordjevic added.

When asked to comment about what was on his mind after losing a semi-finals game at home vs Darussafaka Istanbul, coach Djordjevic said that believing in themselves was an important factor.

"We had the last shot at winning, they came up strong in the second quarter. We were up by 15, but it is what it is, playoffs are like that. We just kept believing in our stuff, in our game plan," said Djordjevic.

"We had two tough games with Darrussafaka, we read the opponent, and that's something that we do, that I like to do so," Djordjevic concluded.
