After Game 3 of the finals on Sunday, the 34-year-old forward talked about what Milan means to him and thanked the fans for a warm welcome.

"Every time I return home, the feeling is very good. I have a special bond with Milan," said Gallinari. "It's great every time I come back here, the fans are amazing, as it always has been. I warmly thank them for the welcome," added Gallinari.

The Italian star wishes to return to play for Milan one day, but his near-future plans are still the NBA.

"The NBA is still in my plans. I want to achieve goals, and when I do, we will see if there is a possibility for me to return to Milan," said Gallinari.

Gallinari still has not given up on his dream of winning a ring in the NBA but knows that his body won't allow him to play forever.

"The body is what speaks. At my age, my mind says it would like to play for a lifetime, but the body does not always follow the mind," said Gallinari.

"I feel good at the moment. My dream is to win a ring in the NBA," Gallinari revealed.

Almost a year ago, Gallinari also talked about how ending his career in Milan would be a prestige.

"It would be the prestigious closure of a career," said Gallinari back then.

Last two seasons, Gallinari played for the Atlanta Hawks. This past season he averaged 11.7 points (lowest since his rookie season in 2008-2009), 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

The fourth match in the Italian League finals is scheduled for tonight, 20:30 CEST in Milan.
