Vassilis Spanoulis: Most turnovers in EuroLeague history

Vassilis Spanoulis has committed the most career turnovers with 1087.

Vassilis Spanoulis is a three-time EuroLeague champion and is widely considered one of the greatest EuroLeague players of all time. 'Kill Bill' has also registered the most turnovers in league history (1087).

That's over 400 turnovers more than the closest chaser Sergio Rodriguez. Vasilije Micic could catch him, but he needs to average around 3 turnovers per game for 6 full seasons.

Known for his all-around ability as a basketball player, Vassilis Spanoulis is a victim of his sheer volume. The guard has always been an initiating playmaker for his team and has an extremely high usage rate.

Tanoka Beard: All-time EuroLeague efficiency record in a game

In the 2003-04 season, Tanoka Beard logged 63 PIR, scoring 35 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, and drawing 11 fouls in a EuroLeague game between his team Zalgiris Kaunas and Skipper Bologna.

In 18 seasons since, no one has been even close to this record.

The closest one was Shane Larkin, who registered 53 PIR during the 2019-20 season. The American guard scored 49 points (most in EuroLeague history), grabbed 2 rebounds, and made 5 assists and 1 steal in a game against Bayern Munich.

Another one was Mike James with 51 PIR in the 2020-21 season, where his CSKA Moscow defeated Khimki Moscow Region. The American guard poured in 36 points, dished 10 assists, and pulled 9 rebounds.

Stojan Vrankovic: Most blocked shots in a game

A 2.18-meter center Stojan Vrankovic set the EuroLeague record by blocking the ball 10 times in a game, which seems unreachable since 2001. He did it in a playoffs game, where his team PAF Bologna won against Cibona 75-74.

For comparison, in the last 5 years, no one blocked more than 6 shots, while in the last 10 years, no one blocked more than 7 shots.

Luis Scola: A double-double by the oldest EuroLeague player

In the 2019-20 season, Luis Scola logged a 10-point and 10-rebound double-double while being 39 years 248 days old in a game between his AX Armani Exchange MilanandZenit St. Petersburg.

He beat Arvydas Sabonis' record (39 years 97 days), which was standing since the 2003-04 season.

Paulius Jankunas: Most defensive rebounds in EuroLeague history

Paulius Jankunas grabbed a total of 1453 defensive rebounds during his EuroLeague career.

It's 300 more than Ioannis Bourousis with 1164.

Kyle Hines is the closest with 915, but he would need to average at least 5 def rebounds for 5 full seasons until he is 40.

Nando De Colo: Most seasons being in an elite 50-40-90 shooting club

The French guard Nando De Colo was an elite shooter for 7 seasons.

To be a part of the club, it requires the following minimum statistics: 50% or above field goal percentage, 40% or above 3-point percentage, and 90% free throw percentage.

Jaycee Carroll has done it in 3 seasons, while Kyle Kuric and Luigi Datome are the only active players to do it more than once.
