Strazel, Pradilla to withdraw from 2022 NBA Draft among other 22 international players / News - Basketnews.com

The NBA draft is just a week from now. There are 22 international players and 24 early-entry candidates that have withdrawn their names from this year's draft, including LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne guard Matthew Strazel and Valencia Basket center Jaime Pradilla.

19-year-old Strazel had meaningful minutes for ASVEL in the EuroLeague this past season and averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 assists in 15 minutes per game. ASVEL did not reach the EuroLeague playoffs but managed to make it into the French League finals, where they are matched up against AS Monaco.

2.05-meters tall Pradilla, was a contributor in both EuroCup and Spanish ACB this year. The Spanish center has averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game in the ACB and 8.7 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in the EuroCup.

As per NBA's announcement, in addition to the 111 college players who had previously withdrawn their names from the draft consideration, 2 additional players from colleges and other educational institutions who had previously declared have also withdrawn.

There are 14 international prospects and 135 players from colleges that remain early entry candidates.

NBA Draft 2022 will be held on Friday, June 24 at 1:30 am CET.
