The newly announced 22-man roster, which includes Sengun, Osman, Larkin, Korkmaz, Sertac Sanli, Melih Mahmutoglu, and others, has some changes.
Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Erkan Yilmaz, Erten Gazi, and Furkan Haltali are out of the roster, while Samet Yigitoglu is a new addition.
In the upcoming FIBA window, Turkey will meet Great Britain away (July 3, 18:00 CET). Turkey was supposed to play Belarus on June 30, but the latter was removed from the competition due to support to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
Because of the removal of Belarus, all three teams – Greece (3-1), Turkey (1-2), and Great Britain (1-1) have their place secured in the second round of qualifiers.
Meanwhile, in the upcoming EuroBasket 2022, Turkey will compete in Group A and face Belgium, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Spain, and Georgia.
