"Thank you from my heart for everything, for the 20 years we spent together," Printezis told fans during the trophy ceremony to Olympiacos.
"Thank you for being by our side in the difficult times, but also in the magical moments. From next year we will be watching our team together. Thank you very much."
Olympiacos' captain joined the team back in 2002. With the exception of one season with Olympia Larissa in 2006-07 and another two with Unicaja Malaga between 2009 and 2011, he spent his entire pro career with his childhood team.
In Game 3 against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, the forward from Syros island made his last appearance in the red-and-white jersey, going scoreless in 07:45.
Coach Giorgos Bartzokas gave him the chance to bid farewell to his playing career, staying on the court in the final 02:20 of the contest that ended in a triumphant 93-74 for the Reds, who captured their 13th domestic championship title.
After Printezis addressed Olympiacos' fans, Kostas Sloukas took the microphone from his teammate's hands and praised the veteran player.
"This guy with the No. 15 will never be seen again on the court. That player... A big round of applause for Giorgos, our leader."
