Former Fenerbahce player Markel Starks shifts to Darussafaka / News - Basketnews.com

Markel Starks changed the club, but not the city. The fomer Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul player moved to Darussafaka,agent Misko Raznatovic reports.

Starks joined injury and COVID-19-plagued Fenerbahce in January. The 31-year-old point guard competed in four Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games and averaged 0.8 points, 1.5 assists, and -0.5 PIR over nine minutes.

In the Turkish league, he registered 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 14.5 PIR over the same number of matches (four).

Starks arrived at Fenerbahce fromKK Igokea, which he represented from the start of the 2021-22 season.

The American guard posted 12.7 points (42.9% 3PT), 6.8 assists, 1.2 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 13.2 PIR over nine BCL games this past season.

After graduating from Georgetown University in 2014, Starks has represented nine different European teams, including Fraport Skyliners, Zielona Gora, and Avtodor Saratov.
