ALBA took charge from the very first minutes of the game, going on an 11-0 run during the first three minutes of the first quarter.
The difference between the teams remained largely the same until ALBA went on another quick 7-0 run during the middle of the second quarter to increase the lead to 19 points (39-20).
Although Bayern tried to mount multiple comebacks, most notably at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the second half was more of a formality than a tight contest. It will be the third BBL title for ALBA Berlin in a row, having previously won the trophy in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
It is the 11th German League title in ALBA Berlin club's history and the 6th double (league title and the German Cup).
Bayern played without three of their core players in Corey Walden, Darrun Hilliard, and Vladimir Lucic. Although Walden and Hilliard practiced the day before the match, it was deemed that the players were not ready for the match.
Jaleen Smith led the team from Berlin with 23 points making 6 three-pointers out of 7 for 22 PIR points, Johannes Thiemann added 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists for 22 PIR as well.
Following a solid performance throughout the series, Thiemann was named the Finals MVP.
