Nikola Kalinic has surprised many with a return to Serbian basketball at the zenith of his career. Serbian forward returned to Crvena Zvezda this season and proved he can be the leader of the team.

When Kalinic was asked if he will stay in Crvena Zvezda next year, he had no clear answer.

"We will hold talks, the season is just over. We will see what will happen, I don't know yet either," answered Kalinic.

Kalinic also commented about the final match of the series vs FMP.

"We expected that FMP would react, we showed that we are the best team in the region and Serbia this season. Triple crown, we are happy, and finally, we can get some rest," said Kalinic.

30-year-old Kalinic also talked about the importance of winning the last game of the season.

"Over the years, I have learned to not only care about victories and defeats," Kalinic said. "It is also generally much better when you win the last game of the season and hold the trophy. It was nice," added the Serbian forward.

When told that Crvena Zvezda has surpassed Partizan Belgrade in the number of domestic titles after a long time, Kalinic talked about the spirit of fair play.

"Probably it all goes in cycles. Let's not go into deeper analysis now, but Zvezda had a series, then Partizan, and then we again," said Kalinic.

"All that is fine, as long as it does not exceed the sports framework and remains in the spirit of fair play; just let the better [team] win," said Kalinic. "All this is just a game at the end of the day," the Serbian veteran concluded.
