Maccabi Tel Aviv are actively rebuilding the team for the 2022-23 season. Per BasketNews sources, the Israeli powerhouse is finalizing agreements with Bonzie Colson and Darrun Hilliard.

Hilliard and Colson are expected to replace James Nunnally and Derrick Williams, who are set to leave Maccabi.

29-year-old Hilliard was a top scorer of FC Bayern Munich in the 2021-22 EuroLeague but couldn't finish the season due to injury.

1.98 m swingman averaged 13.7 points (2FG: 50%; 3FG: 38.5%), three rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steal in 20 EuroLeague games last year.

Hilliard went off for a 28-point game against CSKA Moscow. He also hit 24 over Zenit St. Petersburg.

He posted 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in the German league.

Previously, Hilliard spent two years in CSKA Moscow. He also played for Baskonia Vitoria, San Antonio Spurs, and Detroit Pistons.

Colson is coming off a few promising seasons in France and Turkey.

Maccabi already followed Colson and were interested in adding a 1.98 m forward during the 2021-22 season. However, Colson was under contract with Karsiyaka Izmir, and the Turkish side couldn't let him go.

A 26-year-old American averaged 15 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.7 steals in FIBA Champions League last season.

In the Turkish league, he posted 16.2 points, seven rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals on average.

Karsiyaka forced the EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes to a decisive Game 3 of the quarterfinals series.

Colson had a few remarkable nights, including a 41-point performance against Bahcesehir and 29-point show versus Galatasaray Istanbul.
