Pierria Henry, who joined the Turkish team from Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz last summer, said goodbye to Fenerbahce Beko with an emotional post on his social media account.
"I want to start off by saying, thank you to everyone for the unconditional love. From the start of the season, when I lost my cousin, as well as other loved ones throughout the season. You all embraced me and allowed me to be a part of this amazing family.
From the beginning it was no secret. This was destined for us to become champions! And we would have never finished strong if we didn’t face/ stand up against adversity every time it presented itself. The way we all fought through the hardships together allowed us to not only beat (arguably the best team in Europe) but to become what we all knew we are made of! (The best team in Europe)
I’m extremely grateful and truly blessed to be surrounded by a bunch of good-hearted individuals. From the front office, to all staff members, and of course my brothers in the locker room. I was able to learn and gain so much from this season. Especially from the living legends and even my younger brothers.
With all that we lost as a team (players-games), the family members we all lost during our time of sacrificing.. to any unfortunate situations, we overcame it all.. with a smile on our faces, and our heads held high. I will say, I had an amazing experience and it was #wild&wonderful, full of joy, and a lot of great memories!
