Amar Alibegovic is leaving Virtus Segafredo Bologna after two seasons spent with the club.

According to Alessandro Maggi from Sportando, the player has exercised his option in the contract to leave the club. BasketNews sources have confirmed the information. Alibegovic has been with the club since 2020.

During the last EuroCup season, Alibegovic averaged 5.3 points and 2.4 rebounds for 4.3 PIR for the club. His stats in the Italian Basketball League (LBA) were a bit better - 7.5 points and 3.5 rebounds for 7.4 PIR.

The Bosnian forward won the EuroCup together with Virtus after beating Frutti Extra Bursaspor in the final. However, the player was not registered for the match. The last match Alibegovic played for Virtus in the EuroCup was on April 5th against the Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.

In Italy, Virtus lost the league's final to AX Armani Exchange Milan in a 6-game series.
