Panathinaikos OPAP Athens officially announced the agreement with head coach Dejan Radonjic.

The Montenegrin specialist is joining on a 2-year deal, according to the club's statement.

"I am very happy and excited," Radonjic said in a statement. "I feel very honored to be a member of the great family of Panathinaikos, one of the most important teams in Europe."

"I want to thank the club for the trust and support I have received, which means a lot to me. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am sure that together we will do great things that are appropriate for Panathinaikos," he added.

Radonjic is coming from Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, which he took over in December 2020. Since then, Radonjic has won everything except the EuroLeague title: two ABA League championships, two Serbian League trophies, and both Serbian Cups.

Last season, Crvena Zvezda finished the EuroLeague season in 11th place with a 12-16 record.
