According to Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports, Durant's preferred destination is the Phoenix Suns. The Miami Heat are also among preferred destinations, but according to Wojnarowski, the Nets plan to move Durant where they can get the best possible deal.
Wojnarowski adds that the entire Nets roster will be available to discuss in deals, and Brooklyn will look for a historical return on players and draft picks.
Durant still has a 4-year $192.4 million contract, which runs after the 2025-26 season.
Last season, Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 55 regular-season games.
During the week, there were also rumours about a possible Kyrie Irving's departure, but he eventually exercised his $36.5 million player option for the 2022-23 season to remain with the team.
