Achille Polonara could soon leave Fenerbahce Beko Instanbul to join Virtus Segafredo Bologna, according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

Per the same source, the only thing that remains to be settled between the two sides is the right price for the buyout. Polonara has two more years left on his contract with the Turkish powerhouse. Polonara left Italy in 2019 to join Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, where he played for two seasons and won the ACB title in 2020. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds with Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague last season. At the end, he won the Turkish BSL crown.

In a recent interview with Italian podcast Area 52, Fenerbahce GM Maurizio Gherardini revealed that he doesn't know where Polonara will end up playing, adding that "he's a hard worker and a great guy," but also that "he has ups and downs, like the whole team."
