1.96-meters tall guard had lots of interest around the league but returned to the Bulls as expected. Only the Bulls could have offered him a 5-year max deal with over 200$ million. Other teams in pursuit could have offered him around a $157 million maximum deal.
The Bulls' star has averaged 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game this past season.
LaVine had successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in May, after the Bulls' season ended. He was bothered by knee soreness at times during the 2021-22 season and missed some games in February and January.
Prior to spending five seasons with the Bulls, the two-time All-Star LaVine played three seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he got drafted with the 13th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft.
