The Utah Jazz are trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The T-Wolves are sending Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro, four first-round picks, and 2022 first-round pick Walker Kessler for Gobert.

Minnesota is transferring its 2023, 2025, and 2027 picks unprotected and a top-5 protected 2029 pick to Utah, via the report.

Gobert, 3-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, has spent his entire 9-year NBA career with the Utah Jazz. Since 2020, he participated in three straight NBA All-Star games.

Last season Gobert averaged 15.6 points, 14.7 rebounds (1st in the NBA), and 2.1 blocks per game.

On December 20, 2020, Gobert signed a five-year, $205 million contract extension with Jazz. Gobert's extension was the third-largest contract in NBA history and the largest ever for a center. He will earn $38.1 million next season.

The Jazz have made six straight playoff appearances. Nevertheless, the last time they made the Conference Finals was in 1998.
