The 22-year-old has shown steady improvement over his first three professional seasons and averaged 21.7 points, 8.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 35.7 minutes per game during the 2021-22 campaign, all the highest marks of his career.
Garland made a strong case to receive a rookie-scale extension, and he should receive consideration to earn the Most Improved Player award as well.
