The Houston Rockets are hiring Mike Batiste, Lionel Hollins, and Mahmoud Abdelfattah as assistant coaches for the 2022-23 coaching staff of Stephen Silas, according to Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston.

Batiste, a former NBA player and three-time EuroLeague champion, has worked as an assistant with the Brooklyn Nets (2016-17), Charlotte Hornets (2017-18), Orlando Magic (2018-21), and Washington Wizards (2021-22).
Hollins is a former NBA head coach in Memphis and an experienced assistant for several teams. More recently, he was an assistant to Frank Vogel with the 2019-20 NBA championship team Los Angeles Lakers.
Abdelfattah is coming off a successful stint as head coach for Houston's NBA G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The squad won the G League championship last season, while Abdelfattah was named NBA G League Coach of the Year.
