On the second day of the California Classic Summer League, undrafted Scotty Pippen Jr. proved his worth again.
The son of six-time NBA champ and one of the league's 50 greatest players Scottie Pippen guided the Los Angeles Lakers to a cruising 100-77 (23-21, 26-16, 23-16, 28-24) win over the Golden State Warriors.
The 21-year-old athlete posted 15 points (3/4 2PT, 1/3 3PT, 6/7 FT), 1 rebound, 8 assists, and 3 steals over 20 playing minutes.
His debut game with the Lakers jersey was solid as well. Scotty Pippen Jr. had 14 points (2/4 2PT, 1/5 3PT, 7/8 FT), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block in 24 minutes of Saturday action in L.A.'s 100–66 win over the Miami Heat.
Prior to his Summer League experience, Pippen Jr. spent three years starring for Vanderbilt, averaging over 20 points in each of the last two seasons.
Playing as a point guard, Pippen had career averages of 17.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.6 steals.
