"I am excited to play in Venice. I only had excellent feedback on the organization. I am happy to take another step forward in my career. I am very motivated to help the team reach new goals," Granger said.

The 32-year-old Uruguayan guard, who also has an Italian passport, is coming off a season with Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. It was his second stint with the Spanish powerhouse, as he had previously played for the Basques during the 2017-20 seasons. Granger became an ACB champion in 2020.

Before coming to Baskonia, Granger played forALBA Berlinwhere he became the BBL champion and Finals MVP.

The Italian team Reyer Venezia is restructuring its roster after winning Italian league titles in the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 seasons, and an Italian Cup in 2020.

Granger is going to replace Jordan Theodore, who left the club at the end of the last season. Venezia has also lost Stefano Tonut, who joined Olimpia Milan on a multi-year deal.
