According to the club's official announcement, the German team has inked a long-term deal with Croatian big man prospect Danko Brankovic.

"I'm very grateful to Bayern that such a large European organization is taking on my path and I hope that I won't betray that trust in the years to come," the 22-year-old said after visiting the team's headquarters. "I think I'm very agile and fast for my size, but I still need to improve physically."

Brankovic spent his last three years with Cibona Zagreb. He averaged 2.6 points and 1.1 rebounds for the club in the ABA League. The big man has also played three matches for the Croatian national team, with his most successful being against Finland when the 2.15-meter center scored 10 points in 13 minutes of action.

The Croatian big man is currently viewed as a prospect for the future with no immediate impact on the team.

"We've been following Danko's path very closely for a year now," Bayern's sporting director Daniele Baiesi said following the signing. "He offers an amazing combination of size, mobility, and skills. He is a very intelligent young man and has had some high-level experience. We are excited about the opportunity to develop his talent and look forward to his further development."
