Svi Mykhailiuk was the leading scorer in the game and guided his home country of Ukraine (3-2) past North Macedonia (0-6) 73-68 (35-21, 12-16, 10-16, 16-15) in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.

Mykhailiuk finished the game with 24 points on 8-for-18 shooting adding 3 rebounds and a steal for 17 PIR.

Ukraine started the game better, mounting a 9-point lead (18-9) following Mykhailiuk's three-pointer with 5 minutes to go in the first quarter. Ukraine's dominance continued, and the team finished the first 10 minutes of the game with a sizeable 14-point lead (35-21).

The rest of the match followed a simple story of North Macedonia trying to mount a comeback and Ukraine denying their opponents the opportunity.

However, even though the away squad has a 12-point lead (69-57) with 5 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, North Macedonia went on a quick 8-0 run to narrow the deficit to four (65-69).

Nevertheless, Artem Kovalov scored a layup, Mykhailiuk drained two clutch free throws, and Ukraine reached its third win in the tournament while leaving North Macedonia winless.
