Dionysis Aravantinos of Eurohoops reports that Monaco initially offered less than 2 million euros a year for the American guard, but James did not want to agree to such conditions.

James in the last EuroLeague season averaged 16.4 points, 5.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 18 player index rating per game.
