Water Tavares seemingly was not happy with the departure of Real Madrid's head coach Pablo Laso.

"I still can't believe it. Without you, it's as if the crown on our shield is missing, but well as things are, today you can expect anything! Thank you very much for the call and the trust you gave me to be able to return to Europe. WHITE LEGEND," wrote Tavares.
On July 4, Real released a statement that they are parting ways with Laso due to the coach's medical condition.
The next day Laso responded on Twitter that his health is not an issue.
"Happy to share with everyone that I have full confirmation from the doctors, who have treated me that I can train any basketball club professionally," the 54-year-old specialist tweeted.
Real Madrid appointed assistant Chus Mateo as the new head coach for Real. Mateo has taken over Laso in the ACB finals against FC Barcelona when Laso's health became unstable.
The big man from Cabo Verde, Tavares, was named the Finals MVP in those finals. Tavares averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks for 20.0 EFF during the series.
