Valencia Basket had five days to respond to the offer presented by FC Barcelona to the ACB League to sign Nikola Kalinic, as the Catalan club announced last Saturday.

However, it seems that the EuroLeague returnees plan to match the offer without waiting until the last minute. This means that, if Barca want to sign the Serbian forward, they will have to negotiate with Valencia Basket.

The price asked for Kalinic's rights would be 500,000 euros, while the Catalans are willing to pay a maximum of 400,000. Once the figure is agreed upon, the next step would be to agree on the terms of the contract.

Kalinic has already gained his freedom from Crvena Zvezda and has become a free agent, although the right of first refusal is seriously hindering his signing with Barcelona.

In case the two-time EuroLeague winners decided to move towards other options, Mozzart Sport informs that there are other teams prepared to make a move for Kalinic.
