Zoran Dragic, who joined Cedevita Olimpija in the middle of the 2021-22 season and immediately became one of the cornerstones in head coach Jurica Golemac's team, will stay with the Slovenian powerhouse for one more season, the club announced.

"Ljubljana is my home, so I am happy to remain part of Cedevita Olimpija. A new season is ahead of our team, which brings new challenges," said the Slovenian guard.

"In the EuroCup and the ABA league, we want to achieve the best possible result, and I believe that the fans will stand behind us in all our matches and once again conjure up a great basketball atmosphere in Stozice and Tivoli."

Dragic, 33, won the Spanish ACB with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in 2020, three Slovenian national titles (2011, 2012, 2022) and as many Cup trophied (2010, 2011, 2022) with Olimpija, and he was also the MVP in the final of the Slovenian league in 2011. The Turkish and Italian titles, as well as two Italian Super Cup trophies are also in his resume.

In the 2021-22 season, Dragic played in 12 EuroCup games with the Ljubljana team, averaging 10.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.7 steals per game. In the ABA league, he played 16 games and recorded 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

With the Dragons, Dragic became Slovenian cup champion in February, and champion in May.
