First of all, it was confirmed that Vladimir Jovanovic will sit on the bench of the Serbian champs, something that was ratified with the official announcement that followed the meeting.

Furthermore, the deal with former Olympiacos Piraeus big manHassan Martinwas also agreed upon. According to sportklub.rs, team captain Branko Lazic and former Serbian national team point guard Stefan Markovic will extend their contracts.

In the same meeting, Zvezda management expressed the desire to keep Nikola Kalinic on the team, despite the fact that the experienced forward has already a deal in place with FC Barcelona who have bought out his Spanish rights from Valencia Basket. Zvezda reportedly offered Kalinic a better contract than the Catalan giants.

Another important discussion that took place during the assembly was about the team's budget. Zvezda president Nebojsa Covic revealed that the club's debt is nowless than 500,000 euros.

"Last season's budget was 9,000,000 euros, and the next one should be 12,000,000, but with several obligations being passed on from last year," said Covic, who also referred to the ABA League finals against Partizan.

"We received particularly bad treatment in the ABA league finals, especially from the Slovenian referees. When all the mistakes are added up, they were like 43-15 or 16 at out expense. The most important thing is that we won on all fronts," he pointed out.

One of the last issues to be resolved was the buyout that Panathinaikos OPAP Athens would receive followingNemanja Nedovic's signing with Red Star. The Serbian club paid 300,000 euros to the Greek side and the player signed a three-year deal, of total worth 3.3 million euros on Thursday.

Nate Walters, Austin Hollins, Dejan Davidovac and Mike Zirbes left Zvezda this summer, while Marko Simonovic retired (this time for good) and will be Vladimir Jovanovic's first assistant coach.
