Bayern officially sign Jan-Niklas Wimberg / News - Basketnews.com

Jan-Niklas Wimberg officially signs a 2-year contract with FC Bayern Munich.

The 26-year-old forward has been a member of Niners Chemnitz for the last three seasons.

The 2.06-meters tall Wimberg this past season averaged 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 8.5 PIR over 23 German league games.

Jan Niklas Wimberg has also played for EWE Baskets Juniors, Rockets Gotha, and Eisbaren Bremerhaven during his professional career and has competed for the German national team as well.

After the signing, the German forward gave a short comment.

"I am really looking forward to this challenge and will continue to work hard to take the next step," said Wimberg.
