According to thehomeofglory.com, Fenerbahce BEKO Istanbul is close to reaching an agreement with Nick Calathes.

It was previously reported that Panathinaikos OPAP Athens and Fenerbahce are the two teams fighting for Calathes' signature.

As reported previously, Panathinaikos had offered a deal of a 2-year €2.7 million to Calathes. With the club setting a response deadline on Friday, the Greek guard has rejected the offer.

Fenerbahce reportedly had a similar offer on the table - 2 years, €3 million. According to TrendBasket, the sides have already advanced in talks, with the most pressing issue being a buyout from Barca.

It was also previously reported that the Greek guard wants to work with the new Fenerbahce head coach Dimitris Itoudis.

However, according to Gazzetta.gr, Panathinaikos are not letting the Greek guard go that easily. The Greeks have made a new, 3-year, €4 million offer after Calathes' side initially disagreed with the first one, the website reports.
