As he pointed out to the local media. He is ready to sign the contract. However, the question is whether there is room for him on the 76ers.
"I had signed a one-year contract with the previous team to be free to choose the next destination," Petrusev told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
76ers drafted Petrusev as the 50th pick in the 2021 NBA draft. However, the 76ers already have 15 players under contract, and that number is expected to be 16 when James Harden officially signs a new contract but Petrusev still wants to be a part of the 76ers when the NBA season begins.

Petrusev has played one match in the Summer League so far. He had 2 points and 4 rebounds in a loss to the Toronto Raptors.
"I didn't even have a practice. I just tried to help the team with energy, to influence the game in any way," added Petrusev.
Player development coach Dwayne Jones, who served as Philadelphia's head coach in Las Vegas, has commented on Petrusev's performance.
"Philip was OK. He came a few days ago, he's still trying to adjust. He showed that he can be a factor in the paint and when it comes to protecting the basket," Jones said.
Petrusev was a serious factor in NCAA basketball when he played for Gonzaga. Last season Petrusev played for the EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul and averaged 5.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
