The Lithuanian guard and the Greek side have been negotiating over the last days and it seems that their talks will end up in a two-year contract, per the same report.

After reaching an agreement with the player, who's still under contract with CSKA Moscow until 2024, the Russian team should not become an obstacle, as the Greens managed to arrange his buyout also. The details of the deal are expected to be finalized in the next hours.

Per several Greek media, the Lithuanian guard will receive around 1.8 million euros for the next two seasons, while CSKA will receive roughly 200,000 euros for the buyout.

Grigonis averaged 8.5 points (43.1% 3-pointers), 1.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 19 minutes per game in the 2021-22 EuroLeague campaign.

The 28-year-old shooting guard returned to the court after a break of more than four months in the last selection window of the FIBA World Cup.

In two friendly games against Latvia, he averaged 7 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and 10.5 player index points per game. In the FIBA World Cup 2023 qualifiers against Bulgaria and the Czech Republic he averaged 11.5 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 9 player index rating per game.
