BasketNews and Orazio Cauchi were first to report on the deal on June 28. Ennis veraged 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in EuroCup.

Before joining Gran Canaria last summer, he spent two years with Spanish side Zaragoza. Ennis, 30, played with the Rice University team in the 2011-12 season before moving to Villanova University and Oregon, where he stayed for three and two seasons, respectively.

Although he had the chance to play in the NBA Summer League in the summer of 2017, he could not be selected for the NBA, so he decided to continue his career in Europe by signing with MEGA Basket, one of the Serbian and Adriatic League teams. Standing out with season averages of 18.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 10 games in the Adriatic League, Dylan Ennis was signed by Crvena Zvezda in December 2017.

He played with Red Star in 18 EuroLeague games and 18 Adriatic League games, averaging 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18 games in the EuroLeague. In the last part of the same season, he transferred to Spain in April and signed with Zaragoza and continued to draw attention with his averages of 15.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists by playing in 6 games.

At the end of the season, MoraBanc Andorra, another Spanish League team, brought him in for 33 ACB and 21 EuroCup matches. He averaged 12.8 points in 53 games in total.

At the beginning of the 2019-2020 season, he transferred to AS Monaco. After playing in 8 French League and 6 EuroCup competitions, he returned to Spain in November 2019 to his former team Zaragoza and played 36 Spanish League and 15 BCL matches with Zaragoza in the 2020-21 season. He averaged 15 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists in Liga Endesa matches, and 16.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
