Real Madrid to sign Petr Cornelie / News - Basketnews.com

Real Madrid are expected to have another Frenchmen on the squad. According to BasketNews sources, Real are finalizing an agreement with Petr Cornelie.

Few other EuroLeague teams were also in the mix for Cornelie recently.

A 2.11 m big man will be the fourth Frenchmen in Madrid.

Madrid also has Vincent Poirier, Guerschon Yabusele, and Fabien Causeur under the contract for the following season.

The 53rd pick of the 2016 NBA Draft spent the last season with the Denver Nuggets and their G League affiliate Grand Rapids Gold.

In 13 NBA appearances, Cornelie posted 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per game.

He averaged 17.8 points (3FG: 36.2%), 12.7 rebounds (1st in the league), 2.9 assists, and 0.9 blocks in the G League.
