After parting ways with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Derrick Williams has reportedly found his new club in the EuroLeague.

According to George Zakkas from SDNA.gr, the highlight forward has signed with Panathinaikos OPAP Athens.

Known for his high energy and flashy plays on the basketball court, Williams averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 rebounds for 9.1 PIR for the Israel club in the EuroLeague last season. Before joining Maccabi, the former no. 2 NBA pick played for three different clubs in three years in Europe.

Williams started his European journey in FC Bayern Munich in 2017. He then moved to Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, followed by Valencia Basket. Throughout his 4-year EuroLeague career, the American forward averages 10.6 points and 3.5 rebounds for 11.2 PIR.

Panathinaikos have announced the signings of Nate Wolters and Marius Grigonis recently. The club has also reached an agreement with EuroCup standout Andrew Andrews.
