Panathinaikos Athens are making a move to sign 2.02-meter tall shooting guard Georgios Kalaitzakis, according to George Zakkas of sdna.gr.

His brother, Panagiotis, is already on the team, while Georgios played for them earlier in his career.

Reportedly, Panathinaikos wants to add Giorgos Kalaitzakis because Ioannis Papapetrou is expected to leave the team using the opt-out clause he has on his contract.

Kalaitzakis left Panathinaikos a year ago and played in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks and later for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In the NBA 23-year-old Kalaitzakis averaged 6.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in a total of 13 games.
